About Danny

Danny has been DJing for over twenty five years.

His first gig was at his 6th form school disco! Since then he set up a successful club night called Eat My Funk, along with other DJ's, blending his favourite genres of music: funk, soul, disco, hip-hop, latin, reggae and proper R&B. Venues included: The White Horse in Brixton, WD Cafe in Camden and Paradise Bar in New Cross.

Alongside this, Danny started DJing on his own in bars and clubs across London. Venues/residencies include: Escape Bar and Art in Herne Hill, Bar Aquum in Clapham, Shoreditch House (supporting Vula from Basement Jaxx and Sam Sparro), Soho House Basement and Roof Bar, Upstairs at The Ritzy (Brixton), Smith's of Smithfield and The Luxe, The Feast and Knowles of Norwood, both in West Norwood, SE London (where Danny is based) and Bill's Restaurant & Bar (Soho, Westfield Shepherd's Bush and Victoria).

In recent years, Danny has played at several Back In The Day nights with host Oli Jackson (Slimson) and many West End theatre opening night parties including: The Ladykillers, Singin' In the Rain, I Can't Sing!, Made In Dagenham, The Bodyguard, the 10 year party for Wicked the musical at Tate Britain and most recently, Strictly Ballroom at 100 Wardour Street. He has also performed three times at Camp Bestival.

Danny also plays at many weddings, private birthday and corporate parties, including regularly supporting Natalie Williams' Soul Family Sunday band and popular party bands Belissima and Tokyo Band.

From 2014-21, Danny was the winter resident DJ at the mighty Evolution London in London's Battersea Park for Smart Live Events, where he was the Voice of God, sound operator, background playlist curator and DJ to up to 2,500 people every night. Clients included: ITV, Deloitte, SThree, Google and Microsoft. He has also supported Billy Ocean, Norman Jay MBE, Annie Mac, Rudimental and Stereophonics.

Danny has also previously been a resident DJ at Skylight Tobacco Dock and Skylight Peckham

Danny’s corporate work includes: playing at Silverstone racetrack, three Christmas seasons with Full Circle at The Vaults below Old Billingsgate, a Christmas residency at Somerset House (2022) and various other venues in Central London, World Cup networking events, after parties for awards ceremonies, auction house openings and much more.

Danny is currently one of the resident DJ's at Swingers Crazy Golf Club (City and West End) and Charlotte Street Hotel.

Danny is also an actor, voice-over artist and children’s entertainer with his own company he runs, Nutty’s Children’s Parties.
